(Suffield, CT – September 23, 2020) - NFP Sports, the leading high school sports fundraising and marketing company in Connecticut recently announced a new partnership with the Connecticut High School Coaches Association to help increase public awareness, develop additional scholarship opportunities, and to provide increased services for CHSCA membership. This can only be done through the support of businesses throughout the state. Through the partnership, NFP Sports will increase annual sponsorship revenue for the CHSCA while branding the association across multiple platforms. They will showcase their innovative sports marketing initiatives and its results through their first of its kind digital platform, which includes mobile, e-commerce and social media. NFP sports looks to establish sponsorship opportunities through their well-established network of participating local businesses throughout the state. NFP Sports first launched its sports marketing initiative in 2015 when it partnered with the Eastern Connecticut Conference. Since that time, they have helped to promote the conference, its 19 member schools, student-athletes, and coaches. This includes the launch of the rebranded website, mobile application which ties into all the ECC social media properties. The most compelling program that has been launched for the ECC is its Athlete of the Week Program, which highlights top performers in the ECC on a weekly basis during their fall, winter and spring seasons. The program has not only helped promote local student-athletes, but it has elevated the ECC brand on a state level and helped to promote local businesses who have come on board as sponsors of the conference. “It is a great honor to be able to work with an association with the success and tradition of the CHSCA,” said NFP Sports Founder James Thomson. “NFP Sports will bring together coaches and communities throughout the state with local corporate partners to help support the association.” NFP Sports is a long-time sponsor of the CHSCA and was honored with the Joseph Calvanese Award in 2012 as a leading supporter of high school sports in Connecticut. Thomson continued, “We are excited to deepen our relationship with the association. It has really come full circle and we look forward to doing great things together.” The Connecticut High School Coaches Association was founded in 1951 and has an annual membership of over 4,000 high school coaches. They recently named Joe Canzanella as CHSCA’s new Executive Director. Canzanella replaces long time director and legendary Connecticut Coach John Fontana who passed away on October 21, 2019. Upon accepting the post, Canzanella stated, “The role of the organization will be as a leader along with the CIAC and the Connecticut Association of Athletic Director’s in high school athletics.” When it comes to the partnership with NFP Sports, Canzanella is optimistic, “As an association, our membership is excited about our partnership with NFP. The CHSCA realizes that as an organization we must broaden services to bring value to CHSCA membership. Additionally, our partnership with NFP is a natural fit, both organizations are recognized by student-athletes, parents and coaches as cornerstones and advocates for education-based athletics. We are looking forward to many seasons of growing our partnership and our brands.” Thomson says he and his team believe that NFP Sports can make a real difference and help support countless high school sports programs and associations such as the CIAC through their fundraising and marketing platforms. “We feel that high school coaches serve an integral role in their communities, especially during this challenging time. The role the CHSCA has and will continue to play will help support coaches throughout the state and as a result, entire communities.” ### About NFP Sports NFP Sports is the leading high school sports fundraising and marketing company in the northeast.
